HTC One M8 vs the Latest Apple iPhone 6—Comparing Their SpecsFor those who are looking for a handset that produces high quality images, they might lean towards buying the iPhone 6 which comes with an 8MP rear camera as opposed to the HTC’s 4MP rear shooter. Both of these devices offer LED flash, image stabilization, auto focus and many other great features for taking snaps.
In case the price is something that you prioritize when looking for a handset to buy, the HTC One M8 and iPhone 6 have quite close prices actually. The M8 is currently offered in the market for around $670 while the iPhone 6 is at more or less $650. It’s pretty tough to make a call as to which is the best choice between the two but with the higher resolution, it may be safe to say that the M8 has an edge over Apple’s flagship.
With the word ‘premium’ associated with the HTC One M8 and the Apple iPhone 6, you might be wondering how the two smartphones stack up against each other. It’s already a given that both of these recently released handsets are the most desirable of their kind right now with beautiful designs, better screens and high-end specs but which is the best?
Of all Android devices sold in the market today, the HTC One M8 is one of the very rare handsets that provide excellent build equally matching with that of Apple’s iPhone 6. Both of them are very attractive that it can be difficult to pick which is the best between them. The flagship of Apple measures 138x67x6.9 mm and it weighs 129 grams while the HTC’s M8 measures 146x71x9.35mm and it is kind of heavier than its rival, weighing 160 grams. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Available in India on October 17

It sports a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1440 pixels and 515 pixels-per-inch (PPI). The processing power comes from either the newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 clocked at 2.7GHz Inew I8000 free shipping or the Exynos 5433 Octa-Core clocked at 1.9GHz/1.3GHz hooked up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory – but you can increase that by 128GB with a microSD card. The main 16MP camera with auto focus, LED flash and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) is a big improvement over the 13MP non-OIS Note 3 camera. Samsung also used a larger and wide-angle lens 3.7MP on the front-facing camera (FFC)…this will make for a better-looking video chat and easier to get more people in your selfies.
It uses a 3220mAh and has a fingerprint scanner, heart rate sensor, UV and oxygen saturation monitor, and most importantly, the S-Pen and all the software that comes with it. So please let us know on our Google+ Page if you intend on picking up the Galaxy Note 4 when it arrives on October 17 or do you have your eyes set on another device…as always, we would love to hear from you.
The arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 keeps getting closer – it was revealed at the IFA Berlin in early September, but no pricing or availability was announced, which is par for the course. Last week, Samsung sent out a map of the world (see below), showing just when and where the Galaxy Note 4 would be released. Samsung India sent out a notice today citing that the Note 4 would arrive in stores on October 17 – one of the main dates on the map.
Soon the Galaxy Note 4 will be available in 140 countries – Samsung stepped up the date a little after Apple announced their new iPhone 6 Plus…designed to compete head-to-head against the Note 4. Hopefully the U.S will also get their Note 4 on October 17 as well. India knows for sure through the announcements/invitations sent out (see below).
As a refresher, the Galaxy Note 4 comes to us with a refresh of the Note 3 – upgraded slightly in all areas. Starting with the outside – Samsung finally started using a full metal frame and beautifully sculptured edges and they kept the faux leather back sans the stitches and a beveled type 2.5D IOcean X7S Elite free shipping Gorilla Glass to help with reflections. All-in-all it was just enough to make it look better and a more premium.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini vs Sony Xperia Z3

The display on the Galaxy S5 Mini is a 4.5-inch 1280 x 720 HD Super AMOLED panel with a 326ppi wholesale lenovo A766 pixel density. The Xperia Z3 Compact comes with a slightly larger 4.6-inch IPS panel with the same 1280 x 720 resolution and a slightly lower pixel density of 319ppi.
Even though the Z3 Compact has a slightly larger display, it’s actually the more compact device of the two. Xperia Z3 Compact’s overall dimensions are 127.3 x 64.9 x 8.6mm, while the Galaxy S5 Mini’s are 131.1 x 64.8 x 9.1mm.
The biggest difference between the Xperia Z3 Compact and the Galaxy S5 Mini is definitely the hardware. While Samsung has decided to equip the Galaxy S5 Mini with mid-range internals, the Xperia Z3 Compact comes with flagship-grade specs. You get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 2.5GHz processor, 2GB RAM, and 16GB internal storage. The memory can be further expanded with the use of microSD cards. The battery capacity is very impressive for a 4.6-inch smartphone, with a typical capacity of 2600mAh. It comes with clever software optimization for a two-day battery life. It also comes with LTE Cat.4 LTE support, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, NFC and MHL support.
The Galaxy S5 Mini is more of a mid-ranger when it comes to specs. It comes with an Exynos 3470 Quad-Core A7 chipset with Mali 400MP4 GPU. There’s 1.5GB RAM and 16GB onboard memory. The battery is 2100mAh, which is about on par for a mid-range device. Connectivity options include LTE Cat.4 support, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n dual-band support.
The Galaxy S5 Mini currently runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat, with a 4.4.4 update expected to arrive soon. The Xperia Z3 Compact comes with Android 4.4.4 out of the box.
The Galaxy S5 Mini is equipped with an 8MP rear camera that’s capable of shooting 1080p videos at 30 fps. The front-facing camera has a 2.1MP resolution and can also shoot 1080p videos.
The Xperia Z3 Compact has a much higher resolution 20.7MP camera and is also capable of shooting videos in 4K Ultra HD resolution at 30 fps and 1080p videos at 60 fps. The camera features an aperture of f2.0 and has a 26mm wide-angle lens. The front-facing camera is similar to the Galaxy S5 Mini at 2.2MP and can record 1080p videos.
As mentioned earlier, Samsung has included quite a few of the major features of the S5 into the S5 Mini. The fingerprint scanner, heart rate sensor and the S Health app are available on the S5 Mini, and to some extent do help it differentiate itself from the other mid-range smartphones as well as other minis available on the market. It also comes with an IR blaster, so you can use it as your universal remote control.
The Xperia Z3 Compact, on the other hand, offers High-Res Audio playback, PlayStation 4 Remote Play, and smart social camera with unique apps from Sony.
The Galaxy S5 Mini really cannot match up to the Xperia Z3 Compact overall, and offers a weaker performance, a less capable camera, a worse battery life, and an uninspiring
Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini and Sony Xperia Z3 Compact might have been manufactured by two completely different OEMs with two completely different product approaches, however, the fact remains that both of these products belong to the “Mini” line of devices and are bound to get compared on every front that is there
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini follows the same design language as the full-sized Galaxy S5. Actually, you could even say that the Galaxy S5 Mini is simply a downsized version of the Galaxy S5. From the perforated pattern faux-leather to the ports and sensors, it’s all very similar. The body is made entirely of polycarbonate, like the S5.
The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact looks a lot like the Xperia Z3, but has much thinner bezels and a slightly different front panel lead+3s . The Xperia Z3 Compact is in fact one of the most efficient Xperia designs so far, with a very high screen-to-body ratio. It’s also made of polycarbonate mainly, but comes with front and back glass panels for a more premium feel. Both devices offer dust and water resistance, but the Xperia Z3 Compact comes with a higher IP65/68 certification.

Apple iPhone 6 vs OnePlus One vs LG G3 vs HTC One M8 vs Galaxy Note 3 and S5 Battery Comparison

The biggest battery improvement compared with the iPhone 5S could be seen with the iPhone 6 Plus, which managed to get 10 hours on AT&T. The regular size iPhone 6 didn’t do just as good, with only 7 hours and 27 minutes original ZTE V956 passed before it gave out. This placed the iPhone 6 behind HTC One M8 tested on both AT&T and Verzion. The HTC handset scored 9 hours and 52 minutes on Verizon, while the AT&T test ended after 8 hours and 42 minutes.
LG’s G3 managed to score 6 hours and 10 minutes on Verizon while it displayed an improved battery life by 1 hours and 2 minutes when tested on AT&T.
The iPhone 6 Plus still the leader so far, with tougher competition coming from the Galaxy S5 on AT&T and Galaxy Note 3 on Verizon, which managed to resist for 9 hours, 42 minutes and 9 hours,57 minutes respectively. The Verizon test on the S5 ended after 8 hours and 25 minutes.
The device that managed to surpass all other is the probably unexpected OnePlus One which not only reached the 10 hour marked imposed by the iPhone 6 Plus, but also went further on until setting the bar at 13 hours and 16 minutes.
Whether you are going for a new iPhone or not, now you know where it stands in terms of battery, and how it compares against some of the top devices available.
We know that the new iPhone models, namely the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus can definitely sell, as the stocks are depleting fast, even despite the recent scandal regarding the devices bending under bare hand pressure. The handsets also experienced some software issues, as the iOS8 platform displayed some troubles. However, many are curious how the devices do in terms of battery life. One of the most expected features of the new iPhone was an increased battery life, as the complaints on the matter seemed to have finally been answered with the newest additions to the iPhone family. It’s not that great to have a premium device if it can’t stay on long enough for you to enjoy it. That being said, we are going to compare the iPhone 6’s battery to some other smartphones’ power supplies’, such as the LG G3, One M8 and OnePlus One.
The above mentioned devices were used against the new iPhone models in testing to see where they stand on umi zero battery life. They were tested exclusively on Verizon and AT&T. They were all set to 150 brightness and had their connectivity options ( Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS) turned off.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4

The device comes with 5.7 inches Super AMOLED display. That’s not all. The resolution of the screen is 2560 X 1440p original lenovo A830 . This surely means it is an alternative to the iPhone 6 Plus, which is a bit annoying due to the delays of the iPhone shipment.
The device has 3GB of RAM – sufficient enough for the processing and supporting loads of apps and memory.
There is a 2.7GHz quad core Snapdragon 805 processor or 1.9GHz octa core Exynos 5433 processorain. The powerful processor gives a smooth running experience to the user. For a normal functioning there shouldn’t be any hiccups.
There are two cameras in the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The primary camera is 16MP. And there is also a 3.7MP webcam. So, it is always fun and easy to do video chatting.
The Samsung device already has a huge storage capacity of 32GB. And as if that wasn’t enough, you can increase it twice as much with the help of microSD card.
The dimensions of the device are 153.5 mm X 78.6 mm X 8.5 mm. The phone weighs light at just 176 grams.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 launch will bring in more options for the Indian consumers to choose their favorite gadget from.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 launch for the Indian market is to materialize this October. The new Samsung device for the common is just two weeks away. The news has come forward through a report.
The price of the Galaxy Note 4 is likely to be kept at the same levels as the global flagship device. This means the price of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is likely to be around Rs. 55,000.
This price is for the larger device. So, if you are ready to shell out that amount the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is yours. If not, just be satisfied with the device that is available at almost half the price for the same model.
Let there is no confusion about the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. In India, the festive season of light – Diwali is just round the corner. During the festive seasons, many companies bring in many schemes and offers. These offers are generally timed during the festivals.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 launch is also going to be launched at around the same time iocean-x1 . As the festive season fever spreads there is a beeline to buy gadgets and other appliances.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Samsung has said that the gap is a common design feature, which is true and has been noted in Samsung’s manuals for several years. However, you don’t expect the gap to be quite so pronounced on a high-end phone Xiaomi Red Rice Hongmi free shipping , even if it is worse on some units than others (see above). Users are worried that dust or water could more easily get into the phone, but I’d wager this will end up more of an aesthetic concern than anything else. Just based on using the Nexus 5, the gap does collect dust very easily, but you can clean it out by slipping a piece of paper in there and pulling it along the edge of the phone. So maybe Galaxy Note 4 owners will be intentionally cramming business cards in the gap on occasion.
So, is this a complete non-issue? No, but it’s also not scandalously unusual. Samsung’s industrial design is simply less precise than many of its competitors. You can’t expect that to change in the space of a few months. No one could really blame you if this made the $700 to $800 price tag seem a little more crazy.
This is a common design on phones with flat glass panels on the front. For example, the LG G3 has a narrow gap where the glass comes up to the side of the phone. You can wedge a bit of paper in there, but no more than a corner. The Nexus 5 has a similar shape, and its gap is usually larger (it varies between units). You can get a thin sheet of paper to stand up in that gap just like the just like the Note 4, so this isn’t an isolated design quirk ZOPO ZP580 free shipping . It’s just less common on phones that cost $800.

Meizu MX4 vs HTC One M8

HTC-One-M8 (82)We all know the HTC One M8 by now and it is loved by many for its all-metal design and front-facing dual stereo BoomSound speakers, which are argumentatively the best smartphone speakers on the market. It was an evolutionary follow-up to the popular HTC One M7 from 2012 – not much changed, so it faces some of the problems with the original – like the camera, for instance. HTC chose to keep the same 4MP iocean X7S-T free shipping UltraPixel affair of the M7, which was a decent camera, but is still not to par with the more sophisticated cameras coming out on its competition. Instead of better the main camera, they chose to add a second, or Duo Camera, not to help in picture quality, but to add depth and special effects to your photos…a nice idea, but it cannot compare to the Sony 20.7MP camera found in the MX4.
Because the M8 was out before the rest of the usual flagship devices, HTC had to use a variation on the Snapdragon 800 processor, not the final 801 that came along a later, but still an excellent processor and some would argue is better than a MediaTek any day. However, this is the new Octa-Core version clocked at 2.2GHz for the faster of the four cores. The M8 does offer the advantage of a microSD slot for adding up to 128GB of internal storage. The 2600mAh battery does a nice enough job in the M8, but the MX4 decided to go with a larger 3100mAh. Even though the M8 and MX4 are very close in size, the MX4 is only 147 grams compared to the 160 grams of the all-metal HTC One M8.
As far as features go, the M8 does have an IR Blaster, runs Android 4.4.3 (after upgrade) with Sense 6.0 and is available on all major U.S. carriers. Because the M8 has been out for a while, you can get very good pricing, especially on a two-year contract.
This is really a tough pick and I put it as a tie, but I am definitely leaning toward the Meizu MX4 in this comparison…other than the all-metal build, the BoomSound speakers and Sense 6.0, I really cannot really think of anywhere the M8 beats out the MX4. Okay, maybe the expandable internal memory, but if you use the cloud to store your data, the MX4 should be fine. The HTC One M8 is certainly more accessible than the China-only MX4. The displays are about the same, the processors are both fast and efficient. The 3100mAh battery is lasting a full day and a half after heavy use and the camera is certainly better than the M8’s. The MX4 does have limited availability and for repairs, the unit must be sent back to China. The earpiece and microphone for phone calls could also be better…but the quality you get for the price is remarkable.
This is an interesting comparison – I guess they all are, in one form or another – of a new high-end device from the Chinese company, Meizu, going up against the venerable HTC One M8. The one thing to realize is the Meizu MX4 that we are looking at is a very high-end device at a very reasonable price and that ‘Chinese’ combination is hard to beat, especially when its competition, the HTC One M8 has been out for a while and may be showing some little signs of wear and tear.
Both of these devices are beautiful and well-made and both have rounded sides that make holding the devices a pure joy. The HTC One M8 is an all-metal design and the Meizu MX4 has a metal frame and buttons, but a soft-to-touch material on the back – allowing for a nice, firm grip – something the many M8 users cannot experience without a case. And talk about bezels, the MX4’s display goes almost side-to-side…some of the slimmest we have ever seen.
Let’s just say that other than the displays and the 2GBs of RAM, these two devices share very little in specifications – we are not saying one necessarily has better specs than the other, but the parts and pieces they use to achieve the same end is quite a bit different. Please take a look at the detailed specifications listed below and see exactly where these two excellent smartphones differ and then we will take a closer look at them on an individual basis and try and pick a winner in this comparison.
AH Meizu MX4-18The Meizu MX4 is very popular in China, selling millions when first announced, and it is one of the new Chinese flagships that deserves our attention – the high quality and reasonable price make it a tough combination to beat. The 5.4-inch Full HD display is slightly larger than the 5-inch found on the HTC One M8, yet it’s packed in a somewhat shorter device – mainly because HTC had to find room for its dual front facing speakers. We can argue all day about Qualcomm versus the MediaTek processors, but suffice it to say that the octa-core model clocked at 2.2GHz is no slouch and the MX4 is as smooth and fast as its closest competition. The MX4 does suffer in the internal storage area, offering a 16GB and 64GB model with no microSD card slot for expansion, unlike the M8.
One place that the MX4 shines is the camera area – Meizu chose to use a Sony 20.7MP Iocean X8 free shipping main camera with auto focus and dual-LED flash, that certainly beats out the camera on the M8, Duo Camera or not. Both devices have a nice 5MP front-facing camera (FFC) for an excellent video chatting experience as well as great selfies. The MX4 also put in a nice sized 3100mAh battery compared to the small 2600mAh in the M8.
As far as features go, it does sport a bottom mounted speaker and a rather strange 5:3 aspect ratio that makes the display a little wider than usual – great for more reading room on the display. They both have an FM Radio although the M8 does have an IR Blaster over the MX4, if you consider that a plus. It runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat with their Flyme 4.0 UI…that is a lot like Apple’s iOS…some people like it and others are not fond of it. The price, including shipping, is $449 online, off-contract.

Google Nexus 5 vs HTC One M8 Comparison

The Nexus 5 as well as the HTC One M8 are quite decent in terms of performance. While the Nexus 5 runs on a quad-core snapdragon 800, 2GB RAM wholesale lenovo A690, the HTC One M8 runs on a snapdragon 801, similar to the processor in the Galaxy S5.
However, the HTC One M8 is slightly faster compared the Nexus 5, which includes the speed of the Adreno 330 GPU, offering great graphics. The HTC One M8 also includes a co-processor, making it different from the Nexus 5. In other words, the HTC One M8 can do some things which are not possible on the Nexus 5.
The HTC One M8 has two rear cameras that enable users to refocus photos after they have been taken. The core processor also allows the M8 to monitor movements, making it a great activity tracker, without using the available battery power.
The Nexus 5 and the HTC One M8 both run on the Android 4.4 KitKat. Nevertheless, the Nexus 5 has an advantage over the M8 as it is a Google device; therefore it is the first, to get updates for new operating systems.
The retail price of the HTC One M8 is around $920, while the Nexus 5 retails at arounf $500 - making the HTC One M8 more expensive compared to the Nexus 5.
HTC One M8 became the first flagship Android phone of 2014 following its launch in April 2014. While this is among the most amazing Android devices in the market today, even the Google Nexus 5, which was launched recently, is a favorite among smartphone customers.
Both devices come with excellent feature, making them real competitors to one another.
Below is a brief account of the different experiences offered by HTC One M8 and Google Nexus 5 and a comparison of their respective specs and unique features which enables prospective buys the chance to decide which device is better suited toward their needs.
The HTC One M8 and the Nexus 5 are Android devices with comparatively large screens and powerful hardware. Nevertheless, they look completely different. While the M8 comes in a sporty, curve aluminum chassis covering around the sides of the display, the Nexus 5 is encased in a lightweight soft-touch plastic chassis.
The HTC One M8 offers an in-hand feeling that is missing in other smartphones. On the other hand, the Nexus comes with flat sides and a matte texture offering good hand grip. As the Nexus 5 has a plastic body, it is lighter compared to the M8. The Nexus 5 weighs 130g compared to the HTC One M8 which weighs 160g.
As far as the screen sizes are concerned, the difference between the Nexus 5 and HTC One M8 is very slight. Both the devices come with full HD resolution and nearly have the same size screen. The HTC One M8 has a 5-inch screen wholesale lenovo A760 , while the Nexus 5 comes with a 4.95-inch screen. The screens of both the devices use IPS panels that give them great contrast and viewing angles. In addition, both smartphones offer highly impressive display for videos or texts with bright and vibrant colors.

Samsung Galaxy S5 vs. iPhone 6 Plus

The Galaxy S5 runs on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat without any additional skins. There is no notice regarding whether the device will get the upgrade to the alleged Android L. All the core sensors and features are there, including accelerometer, barometer, heart rate sensor, NFC chip, finger print sensor and lots more. Apple’s device runs on the latest iOS 8 original Xiaomi Mi4 an operating system which incorporates several features already present in Android devices.
The camera battle is another one where Samsung takes the win. The S5 features 16-MP rear sensor, capable of taking snaps at 5312×2988 pixels and record 2160p videos at 30fps. Equipped with LED flash and several features in the camera application, the device is far superior compared to Apple. The iPhone 6 Plus sticks to the 8-MP rear sensor camera, but has improved in other sections. The device now has a dual LED flash and optical image stabilization.
First tests of the battery proved that the iPhone 6 Plus can handle more usage. Just for comparison, the S5 features a 2800 mAh battery, while the iPhone 6 Plus is equipped with a 2915 mAh battery. First tests, made by Anandtech, provide a glimpse into the battery life of both the devices. The test found that when it comes to web browsing, Apple’s device wins the battle, as the handset can handle 13.7 hours, compared to 10.2 hours the S5 can handle. There hasn’t been a test for talk time yet, but Apple’s device should handle 24 hours, while the S5 delivers 21 hours of talk time.
The starting price of the Samsung Galaxy S5 is set at $700 for the SIM free version. The basic version of the iPhone 6 Plus with 16 GB memory space is priced at $750. Please note that it is for the off contract version.
The good news is that Apple has finally entered the phablet market.
That can mean only one thing. All manufacturers have to go an extra mile now, in order to deliver even more premium devices to compete with Apple. The phablet market was largely dominated by Samsung with the Note line. The Galaxy S5 can also be considered a phablet, even though it is a tad smaller than other devices in the class. We compare Samsung’s flagship phone with Apple’s latest product.
In almost every other comparison with Apple, Samsung’s devices have had an advantage in the display section. That is not the case this time. The S5 has a 5.1 inch display, with measurements set at 142x72x8.1 weighting 145 grams. For once, an Apple device is bigger, with the iPhone 6 Plus featuring a 5.5 inch screen display and measurements of 158x78x7.1 weighting 172 grams. The difference is evident, both in the size, and in thickness. And when it comes to the design, Apple is second to none. The company has implemented all the latest design trends, such as round corners and curvier looks.
Even though some expected Apple to introduce liquid metal in the build, the company sticks to the aluminum. Compared to the plastic used in the S5, the build material is far more premium and superior. The additional downside to Samsung’s device is the size. With the 5.1 inch screen display, the device is too big for one hand usage, too little for the two hand usage and there is no S pen Stylus. Both devices offer a screen resolution of 1080x1920pixels, but due to the lower screen size, the S5 delivers better density, 432ppi versus 401ppi. Color options for the devices are silver, gray and gold for the iPhone 6 Plus, and black, copper, blue and white for the Galaxy S5.
The power train is one area where Samsung should have an advantage. While there are still no benchmark tests comparing the devices, the sheer power of the S5 is too much for Apple’s handset to handle. The S5 is powered by Snapdragon 801, quad core processor clocked at 2.5GHz. And with 2 GB of RAM memory, the device runs as smoothly as possible. We still haven’t seen what the iPhone 6 Plus can do. However, the company has introduced a 64bit chip, which should provide a lot more power than the previous iPhones. The A8 chip is a dual core processor clocked at 1.4GHz and has a RAM memory set at 1GB. However, Apple has added a separate M8 chip, which serves as support for the main chip, supplying more power and reducing the battery consumption. The S5 comes with 16/32GB original ZOPO ZP998 built in memory. However, there is an external slot for microSD card and additional 128 GB of memory space. Apple’s device, on the other hand, doesn’t have an external slot, but comes in 16, 64 and 128 GB versions.

Note 4 vs iPhone 6 Plus vs BlackBerry Passport

Want to get a closer look at the BlackBerry Passport? Check out the video review above from the Verge.
The Passport is designed to more easily view documents, spreadsheets and X-rays. It’s being marketed with a particular emphasis towards writers, medical professionals, and architects, who are expected to be especially interested in the squat, broad display’s potential for getting work done on the go. Despite its perks, it might not appeal to all users, since some popular apps aren’t designed for the BlackBerry platform.
Curious about how the same publication viewed the Note 4? Check out the Verge’s hands-on video about the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 above.
As we explained in our specs & features guide for the Note 4, Samsung’s latest Note offering stands out because of its 2.7GHz XIAOMI M2S 16GB free shipping Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, an improvement from the 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 in the Note 3. The Note 4’s other cool features include an improved camera for taking better selfies, and a battery that has been designed to have 7.5 percent less battery consumption.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is an awesome phablet, but this high-end smartphone gets even better when you pair it with the right accessories.
More interested in the iPhone 6’s bigger cousin, the iPhone 6 Plus? Check out The Verge’s take on Apple’s first phablet in the video above.
In their full review of the iPhone 6, The Verge had both complimentary and critical things to note about Apple’s new phone. Overall, however, their assessment of the iPhone 6 was largely good, with the phone scoring a 9.0/10 in the review. The Verge wrote:
“Everything is better and nothing is different…Yet there’s nothing truly ambitious here, no grand vision of the future or of a new way of living in the present…The latest iPhones could have been a chance for Apple to really re-examine what smartphone hardware should be, but Apple just built a bigger iPhone. Because that’s what people wanted.
For a variety of reasons, from the camera to the app ecosystem to the hardware itself, the iPhone 6 is one of the best smartphones on the market. Maybe even the best. But it’s still an iPhone. The same thing Apple’s been making for seven years.”
While the security of iOS is usually considered a big plus for the iPhone line, a recent spate of issues with iOS 8 has made the iPhone 6 Plus a little bit unappealing. A fix is planned, but many iPhone 6 fans aren’t happy with iOS 8 right now. Combine that with photo evidence of the iPhone 6’s bending problem, and it’s no wonder some smartphone buyers are holding out for a BlackBerry Passport or Galaxy Note 4 instead.
Go hands-on with the Gear VR in the PC Mag video above. The Gear VR only works with the Note 4, so that gives gamers an extra incentive to choose the Note 4 over the BlackBerry Passport or iPhone 6 Plus.

So, to sum up: If you’re a medical professional or business leader who works for a company that has a lot of BlackBerry integration already, the new BlackBerry Passport is probably perfect for you. If you prefer to use a stylus while you work and you want a device with lots of battery conservation options, try the Note 4. If you want a device with a secure ecosystem, a slightly smaller screen than the Note 4, and eventual Apple Watch support, the iPhone 6 Plus is your best bet.
lackBerry has just unveiled the BlackBerry Passport, their ultra-wide smartphone that is designed to take on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the iPhone 6 Plus. See how the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 stacks up against the BlackBerry Passport in the video above.
While Samsung has been taking potshots at Apple’s new iPhone in their recent Note 4 commercials, Samsung has yet to call out BlackBerry in an ad.
Here’s a spec breakdown for the BlackBerry Passport from the Daily Mail:
“The BlackBerry Passport has a full HD 4.5-inch square screen, which is said to offer a similar viewing space to a 5-inch phone, but ‘an even better viewing experience’ because of the screen’s width.
It has 1440×1440 pixel resolution display with a pixel density of 453PPI. Other specifications include a 2.2GHz XIAOMI M2S 32GB free shipping quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage plus expandable storage via microSD card up to 64GB. There is also a 13MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera.”
