Apple iPhone 6 vs Samsung Galaxy S5

Both iPhones use Apple's new A8 chip, which is more powerful and efficient than the A7 found in the IPhone 5S. That means it has longer battery life. It is suspected, that the processor only has 1GB of RAM when nowadays the smartphone standard is 2GB lenovo A516 free shipping . That's what Samsung's S5 has as well, with its Qualcomm Snapdragon. In all fairness, Apple haven't actually said anything about the RAM but in this case the rule is: no news is bad news.
A key new feature of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus is Apple Pay, which will allow for the introduction of mobile payments. Users will be able to link their iPhone with their credit card and simply swipe to buy.
Samsung's got a much better camera in terms of resolution, with 16 megapixels to the iPhone 6's 8 megapixels. The Galaxy S5's 4K video recording capability is also a notch above what's offered from from Apple's newest model.
But the new iPhone Plus does have optical image stabilisation, so there's that.
Here's a big one for Apple, with iPhones 6 and 6 Plus able to use the iOS 8 operating system unveiled at WWDC in June.
With its HealthKit and HomeKit platforms, third-party keyboards, improved maps, interactive notifications, widgets and family sharing, the fancy new software should hopefully compensate for the lacking RAM.
Samsung are operating on Android's 4.4 (KitKat), which works like a charm. The phone's interface has been made snazzy by the introduction of TouchWiz, which includes motion navigation and home screen customisation (a bit like the slick iOS standard).
The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will be available for pre-order from this Friday, 12 September and will go on sale a week later, on Friday 19 September in countries around the world. The iPhone 6 with 16GB will cost £539, converting from dollars (the UK price is yet to be confirmed). For the 16GB iPhone 6 Plus it will be £619.
As you well know, Samsung's Galaxy S5 16GB has been on the market since April, costing £550 for the device but with an option of £28-per-month on a 24-month contract.
The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, with larger and more durable screens, and improved software, represent more than your usual Apple upgrade. Tim Cook called it the "biggest advancement in the history of the iPhone." But where Apple is revamping its flagship phone, Samsung made few changes to its successful formula for the Galaxy S5 released earlier in 2014.
With hacking scandals affecting Apple and flagging sales dogging Samsung, both companies need a win. How do their products compare?
Of the two iPhones Apple debuted at its September 9 event, the iPhone 6 is longer and wider and a fair bit slimmer (6.9mm) than last year's iPhone 5S – it's on the size scale of Samsung stuff. And the 6 Plus goes even further, while still staying thinner (7.1mm) than its Samsung equivalent.
The new iPhones come in gold, silver, and grey, while Samsung offers black, blue, white, and gold.
With measurements sorted, let's look at the screen size and resolution. At 4.7 inches lenovo A529 free shipping and 326 pixels per inch (ppi) density, the iPhone 6 screen is larger but with the same sharpness as last year's model. The iPhone 6 Plus on the other hand sacrifices pixel density for size, with a screen of epic proportions - 5.5 inches. Still, at 401ppi, the 6 Plus pixel density is a marked improvement on last year's 5S.
At 5.1 inches, the Galaxy S5 is smaller than the 6 Plus but at 432ppi it has better pixel density than either new iPhone edition.
And then there's the iPhone's new "ion strengthened" screens, promising durability and reduction in the scourge of screen cracks that always seem to happen just before insurance expires.

Lenovo Vibe Z2 64-bit smartphone

Itching for something a little more stylish? That's where the Vibe X2 comes in. There's a 5-inch 1080p display wholesale lenovo A690 and one of Mediatek's new True8Core chipsets lurking under the hood, but your eyes will dart to its three-layered design with colors stacked atop each other like paperbacks perched on a coffee table. Striking? You bet, but we're sure it won't be everyone's cup of tea. You'll be able to choose from white, red, gold and gray options, all of which should complement the 13-megapixel camera 'round the back nicely. And in case three layers just isn't enough for you, Lenovo's got a series of accessories -- think a super-slim battery and an amped-up speaker -- to add a fourth stratum to the mix.
The Vibe Z2 and X2 will cost $429 and $399, respectively, when they launch in October, and (to no one's surprise) they'll hit Lenovo's native China first. From there, they'll trickle into the rest of southeast Asia, eastern Europe and Latin America -- just don't expect them to hit US doorsteps any time soon.
Lenovo might not be known for its smartphones around these parts (Motorola's new wares should change that soon), but it's definitely no slouch where the rest of the world is concerned. To no one's surprise, the Chinese juggernaut's family of phones just got a little bigger today at IFA: The company just pulled back the curtain on a pair of devices called the Vibe Z2 (pictured above) and Vibe X2.
Its name would imply that the Vibe Z2 occupies the rung under Lenovo's flagship Vibe Z2 Pro, but this new entry is Lenovo's first 64-bit smartphone thanks to the 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon chipset housed within its 7.8mm thick chassis. That means it'll play rather nicely with the new (and currently unnamed) version of Android waiting in the wings, though at this point, it's unclear whether it'll ship with Android L preloaded. Rounding out the package are a super-bright 5.2-inch wholesale lenovo A760 screen running at 720p (sigh), along with 32GB of internal storage, dual SIM slots, a 3,000mAh battery and a 13-megapixel rear camera with a backlit sensor.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 vs Galaxy S5

Disappointingly Samsung has confirmed the Note 4 will ship with Android 4.4 rather than the newer ‘Android L’ original iocean x8 mini pro (expected to be called Android 5.0) which will debut later this month. Samsung is traditionally slow with its upgrades and with the S5 also running 4.4 there could be a significant wait on both for an upgrade.
Where the devices offer compensation, however, is their array of sensors. The S5 introduced a heart rate sensor as part of its ‘S Health’ system and the Note 4 also incorporates this. Both also have fingerprint scanners and while neither is yet as slick as the scanner in the iPhone 5S home button, they do offer a simple extra layer of security.
In addition the Note 4 gets a UV sensor to tell you how dangerous the sun’s rays are and whether you need to spend some time in the shade.
Quirky as this is, the real differentiator of the Note 4 is its ‘S Pen’ and the fourth generation Note receives a new version which Samsung boasts has better pressure sensitivity. For those unfamiliar with the S Pen, it is a fancy name for a stylus and gives the Note highly accurate handwriting recognition and drawing abilities while it can also be used for navigation.
While you can go out and buy the Galaxy S5 now, the Note 4 will not hit shelves until October. This may sway users desperately in need of a new handset, but four weeks isn’t long to wait and while the S5 will be upgraded in six months the Note 4 will Samsung’s flagship phablet for a year.
As for pricing, on contract much will depend on individual carrier subsidies but both should come in around the usual $199 on a two year contract. Off contract it is a similar story. The Note range has previously undercut the S series by about $100 ($799 to $699), but the S5 will be seven months old when the Note 4 launches and more discount deals for it should be available.
On paper the Galaxy Note 4 is a better device than the Galaxy S5. It has more power, a higher resolution screen, bigger battery and better cameras but much will come down to size. If you can make the leap to a two handed phone then the Galaxy Note 4 should repay you in spades, but for some the Galaxy S5 will be as big as they dare go.
Interestingly both the Galaxy S5 and Note 4 should also have direct rivals from Apple this month in the form of the much
Contrary to popular belief the iPhone 6 is not the only new handset being launched this month. Android purists will be focused on the Nexus 6, but for the masses the big interest is Samsung and the new Galaxy Note 4.
The original Galaxy Note was a game changer when it was released in 2011 and with the Note 3 last year the large format ‘phablet’ hit the mainstream, selling over 10 million units in just two months. Furthermore with smartphone screen sizes getting ever larger phablets are becoming less and less intimidating to transition to and they typically marry their big screens with masses of power and great battery life.
All of which creates a conundrum: phone or phablet? The 4.7-inch Galaxy Alpha is likely to be too small for potential Note 4 owners so my comparison point is the Samsung Galaxy S5 - the biggest selling Android phone on the planet. Let’s put the two head-to-head.
One may be a phone and the other a phablet, but both devices have huge screens. The S5 has increased 0.1-inches compared to the S4, but the Note 4 has retained the same 5.7-inch display as the Note 3. But while the S5 got larger, it maintains the same 1920 x 1080 ‘Full HD’ display as the S4 while Note 4 ups its game to an incredible 2560 x 1440 pixels (also known as ‘QHD’ aka 2k).
Many will rightly question whether the S5 and Note 4’s ‘pixels per inch’ densities of 432 and 550 ppi respectively matter. After all Apple AAPL -0.63% defines a ‘Retina display’ (where the human eye can no longer make out the individual pixels) as 326ppi, but this is disputed and many swear they can see the difference – notably Forbes’ contributor Ian Morris in his review of the 2560 x 1440 5.5-inch LG G3.
As for the screens themselves, sadly Samsung has not matched the much anticipated iPhone 6 sapphire display with either device and both use Corning GLW -0.85% Gorilla Glass 3 instead. Don’t be too put off, Gorilla Glass 3 is currently the toughest material on any handset. Samsung also fits the S5 and Note 4 with Super AMOLED panels which are far brighter than standard IPS displays, though they can also oversaturate colours so it is best to try them in person to see if you’re a fan.
In my Galaxy S5 review I found its faux-leather plastic back in particular feel cheap and the Note 4 carries on this unwelcome design trait, though it adds metal edges and a metal frame which is a sizeable step in the right direction. Furthermore Note 4 owners will see a premium version of the phablet released which has a metal back, but we await pricing.
Of course the good news with Samsung phones is these somewhat unappealing backs can be swapped and they also provide access to the battery, sim card and memory card slots. For some who like to carry spare batteries around this is a deal maker.
Not usually the first consideration of someone interested in devices this big, but nevertheless Samsung has pulled off some impressive nips and tucks with both models.
The Galaxy S5 measures 5.59 x 2.85 x 0.32-inches (142 x 72.5 x 8.1 mm) and 5.11oz (145g) which is highly compact for a phone of its size. Meanwhile the Note 4 comes in at 6.04 x 3.09 x 0.33-inches (153.5 x 78.6 x 8.5 mm) and 6.21oz (176g). This is closer than you might expect though, while some may be able to use the S5 one handed, the Note 4 is definitely a two handed device.
While Samsung supplies both devices with its own ‘Octa-core’ chipsets in its native South Korea, in the wider world the company uses Qualcomm QCOM +0.12% and its ubiquitous Snapdragon chips.
Here the Note 4 has the upper hand. Coming to market six months later it has the advantage of the 805′s quad core 2.7GHz processors and an Adreno 420 graphics chip, compared to the 801′s quad core 2.5GHz processors and Krait 400 graphics chip in the S5. Meanwhile the Note 4 packs a massive 3GB of RAM compared to 2GB in the S5.
The end result is the Note 4 will outperform the S5 in every benchmark, but does this make any difference in the real world? For most day-to-day tasks and even the vast majority of gaming, the answer is no. Both devices are blazingly fast. The difference will become more apparent over time as increasingly demanding games come to market, but the real advantage of the 805 now is battery life as it is far more efficient (I’ll discuss this in its own section).
Here the Note 4 again wins out. Both models have 16 megapixel rear cameras, but the Note 4 includes optical image stabilisation (OIS). As the name suggests, this stabilises the camera sensor when taking an image resulting in less blurred shots and smoother video (both shoot 4k) and delivers significant benefits at night where longer exposure times are required.
The Note 4 also has a second advantage in the age of the selfie: a better front facing camera. Whereas the S5 has a 2.1MP sensor, the Note 4 ups that to 3.7MP. Make no mistake, the S5 still takes some of the best images we’ve seen from any smartphone, but the Note 4 represents a step up.
I’d give the Galaxy S5 the edge here as it offers more choice with 16GB and 32GB variants, but in reality the ability of both it and the Note 4 to take microSD cards with up to 64GB of storage (and many of the growing number of 128GB cards work too) means there is a stack of space available.
Furthermore microSD is increasingly becoming a differentiator as main rivals the iPhone and Nexus ranges have never and will never adopt microSD. The likes of Sony , LG, Asus and HTC (via the One M8) offer microSD compatible phones, but Samsung is by far and away the biggest player to do so.
The Note 3 was one of the longest lasting mobile devices and the S5 is one of the longest lasting smartphones and the Note 4 carries on this fine tradition.
In order to power its larger, higher resolution screen the Note 4 has a hefty 3220mAh battery original Jiayu G6 32GB compared to the 2800mAh capacity in the S5. Given the Note 3 had a 3200mAh battery this may not sound like much of a bump, but this is where the Snapdragon 805 chipset kicks in. The Note 3 already has the S5 beaten when it comes to battery life (though both comfortably see out a day’s intense usage) and while Samsung has not given away figures for the Note 4, it says the new phablet will comfortably outlast its predecessor.
Just as important is the Note 4’s new quick charge functionality. Samsung claims the phablet will be able to reach a 50% charge in just 30 minutes. The S5 is no slouch giving a 20% charge in only 12 minutes, but that doesn’t extend to getting the phone to the halfway point as quickly as the Note 4.

HTC One E8 review

HTC One E8 Camera test HTC One E8 Camera test
Camera: I would suggest people to buy this phone just for its camera. To start with this is the fastest camera I have seen in a smartphone wholesale cubot one . You click and it clicks, not a second’s lag. That is how I want my phone camera. This also means the photos are amazingly crisp even if you are shooting a flower swaying in the wind or an eagle in flight.
HTC One E8 Camera test HTC One E8 Camera test
Plus, the E8 is a great selfie camera not just for its 5MP front facing clicker. The camera has a countdown timer that lets you prepare and offers some post processing too. Also, is it the among the fastest launches for camera on any phone.
Storage: The phone comes with 16GB storage out of which you get to use just above 8 GB. It is a good thing that HTC is letting you add up to 128GB of external memory. With the camera being as addictive as it is, you are well advised to at least 16GB more.
Software: There is no doubt that HTC Sense and Blinkfeed are among the best customisations available for Android. There are some really handy gestures like knocking on the screen or swiping from top to bottom to wake the phone. The gestures are the sort that work and you will end up using, not just gimmicks.
Battery: This battery can last you over 16 hours with full usage. And there is always the ultra power saving mode to turn to if you feel you need to squeeze more out of the phone. .
Connectivity: No issues with connectivity, but remember both slots need nano SIMs which are still not that easily available across India.
When launched earlier this year, the HTC One M8 came in for some rave reviews primarily because the company had innovated a lot with the hardware and software. Buoyed by the success of this flagship, HTC is in carpet bombing mode. It now has a smartphone to offer at every possible price point, almost shedding its tag as a premium player. The HTC One E8 is almost like a budget flagship. I took it for a spin.
Specs: 5-inch Full HD (1080 x 1920p) Super LCD3 | 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor | 2GB RAM | 16GB internal memory + 128GB external | Dual Nano SIM | 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera | 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4, A-GPS, | 2600 mAh battery | Android 4.4 KitKat + HTC Sense
Price: Rs. 35,999
Design: The E8 carries forward the HTC One design philosophy which is minimalist, yet stylish. This phone’s dual curve design makes it easy to hold both horizontally and vertically. The Boomsound speakers flank the screen on top and bottom adding to the length of the device. The uni-body design makes the phone feel robust. The rear flap is a bit plasticky, but not bad enough to make it feel cheap. You need a pin the open the slots for the dual SIMs and micro-SD cards wholesale Doogee Dagger DG550 on both sides of the phone.
Screen: The full HD screen adds to the premium feel of the phone. Given that this phone clicks some great pictures, the screen will let you enjoy your works like never before. Plus, coupled with the HTC’s Boomsound dual speakers, this becomes a great option for those who like to watch movies and videos on the phone.
Performance: With a 2.5 GHz processor, performance must not be an issue. And it isn’t. The E8 is as smooth as smooth can be. There was absolutely no lag with anything that I did with the phone. The only grouse is that the phone does heat up slightly whatever you do, even check Blinkfeed.

5.5-Inch iPhone 6 is iPhone Air on Sept 19 Release Date

Since 2011, when the first Galaxy Note hybrid phone came out, Android fans have been treated to supersized smartphone experience that generally extends the device's functions to near-tablet features.
True, the bigger space to navigate about on the screen and more viewing window are the benefits that certainly users appreciate, which explains the segment's ongoing explosion.
However, will most of the iOS THL W100S free shipping crowd readily embrace the Apple phablet era the way that Android lovers did? One glaring downside of moving around with a huge device is less convenience. No doubt, the 4-inch iPhone 5S is easier to slide in and out of the pocket than that of the 5.5-inch iPhone 6.
More proofs are showing up that point to a mobile payment path for the next iPhone. Apple, apparently, is working on a service that makes use of near-field communication as the core technology.
The object is to provide a user-friendly facility that also highlights a more robust security protocol. But with the latest iCloud hacking scandal that saw the leak of nude photos by A1 celebrities, will consumers readily trust their credit card information with Apple?
As soon as speculations about the iPhone 6 started firing up, sapphire became part of the narrative. The idea in using sapphire glass cover instead of the usual Corning Glass is to protect the next iPhone from scratches.
However, while a new report from Business Insider is supportive of the idea that the iPhone 6 will stay dent-free for the life of the product, its screen is not exactly damage-proof.
"Since sapphire is more brittle than glass, there's a chance it could also be more prone to cracks," the report added, citing Raymond Soneira of DisplayMate Technologies as source.
Reports are rife that Apple will enhance the charging accessories that will come with the iPhone 6. The Lightning cable will have reversible USB for added convenience and possibly faster power re-juicing. Also, the charging adapter will bring power to the device at, again, a faster rate.
But the upgrade may not debut in time with the 2014 iPhone launch, according to Ming-chi Kuo of KGI Securities. The redesign is likely put off due to "cost concerns and limited improvements to overall user experience that such changes would bring," Kuo was reported by Apple Insider as saying in his latest note to investors.
This week, reports emerged that the iPhone 6 sticker price will be higher than its immediate predecessor - the iPhone 5S. Unlocked, the cash damage could go as high as $950 while the contract-laden unit will sell at around $300. The price points are for the 5.5-inch model.
Will consumers take the bite and surrender more cash when they can the same experience with the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 that most likely will sell for no more than $200 with locked-in agreement?
These concerns will hopefully get their answers on Apple's September 9 iPhone 6 introduction or a week after, likely on September 19, which is deemed as the actual release date for the device.
A jumbo-sized iPhone 6 at 5.5-inch on release date is firming up further as new reports support the impending arrival of Apple's biggest smartphone ever.
Earlier this year, reports from China claimed that Apple will retail the larger of the two 2014 iPhone models as the iPhone Air. Obviously, the labelling is in line with Apple's MacBook Air and the iPad Air that got their names due to their super-slim profile.
And the iPhone Air will be in the same league - trimmed down to depth of between 6mm and 7mm xiaomi M2A free shipping , depending on which leaks to believe.
But before grabbing the first iPhone phablet, which analysts said will easily become a runaway blockbuster once it is issued, there are five things to mull over on the humongous device before making the decision to buy.

Huawei Ascend Mate 7

HTC’s primary camera is a dual 4 MP with 2688х1520 pixels, dual-LED flash, and autofocus features. The rest of the features include 1/3” sensor size, HDR, Panorama, smile and face detection, 2μm pixel size, automatic image and video recording, and geo-tagging. The video quality is 1080p@60fps, 720p@60fps with HDR, and stereo sound recording. The secondary camera is of 5 MP, 1080p@30fps and HDR.
LG uses Li-lon technology battery with a capacity of 2540 mAh while HTC uses a non-removable Li-Po technology battery. Other details are not yet out.
On the market price, HTC One M8 Prime will cost an average of $950.00 based on the internal memory while LG G3 S has a price tag of $581.00
Both phones are yet to be released therefore, no reviews from their users. Both phones have many similar features, but I would choose to purchase HTC One M8 based on the higher internal memory which enhances the phones efficiency in handling large data.
LG is slowly taking over the phone market as it continues to produce high-end smartphones. They have been known to be relentless in developing new phone models that are better than their previous versions. HTC on the other hand, is popular with producing quality phone, hence their efforts to maintain their reputation. LG G3 S and HTC One M8 Prime are some of the latest models produced by the companies.
LG G3 S has an internal memory of 8 GB with a 1 GB RAM along with a Quad-core 1.2 GHz THL T11 buy Cortex-A7 processor. It has a 5.0 inch capacitive LCD touchscreen. HTC is equipped with a 3 GB RAM and an internal memory of either 16 or 32 GB. Its 5.5 inch touchscreen is LCD3 capacitive.
HTC details on weight and dimensions are still not out while LG has body dimensions of 5.42 x 2.74 x 0.41 inches and weighs 134g.

iPhone 5s, Xiaomi Mi 2, Nokia X3-02

Five years ago the phone market was a busy community of many different platforms. One of them was the aging Windows Mobile 6.5 specs of ZTE V956 , which couldn’t live up to the assault of pretty iPhones and Androids.
HTC had become known for its custom skin called TouchFLO and in 2009 the company was finishing up work on TouchFLO 3D 2.6. It did an even more extensive job of covering up every inch of the ugly WinMo below and various improvements to its tab-based interface.
At around that time the custom skin had already made the jump to Android, debuting under the name Sense (as it has been known since) with the HTC Hero that ran Android 1.5.
Samsung was another company that was stretched over multiple OSes and wanted to unify its interface. In 2009 it unveiled the Samsung Widget SDK to allow developers to create widgets for any of its TouchWiz phones whether they ran on Windows Mobile, Symbian or its own proprietary OS.
If you're wondering what about Android, TouchWiz didn’t land on Android until 2010's Samsung Galaxy Spica based on Android 2.1.
Both HTC and Samsung tried to reduce their reliance on Android, unsuccessfully. HTC briefly flirted with Brew Mobile and the HTC Smart (which also boasted Sense UI). Samsung had Bada for a while then a couple of years ago it left it in favor of Tizen. The Samsung Z, the first official Tizen phone, was announced early this year but it might be dead in the water.
Late August is a time of many leaks since it's just weeks before IFA starts – the large European tech show where smartphone makers try to outdo each other.
Here's a quick list of pre-IFA rumors. In 2011 a teaser video for Berlin Unpacked prompted speculations that the Samsung I9250 will be unveiled. That's the model number for the Galaxy Nexus but it launched some time later, instead we got the original Galaxy Note.
Then two years ago another Unpacked teaser offered tantalizing glimpses of the Galaxy Note II. Then a year ago it was Galaxy Note III rumors. As you can imagine this year we've been swamped with Galaxy Note 4 rumors.
Last year Sony had a flagship for IFA too, the Xperia Z1, and we caught a glimpse of its Snapdragon 800 chipset via leaked benchmarks. Rumors of a similarly-specced phone but with a 4.3" screen were floating around too but the Xperia Z1 Compact only launched early this year. If this year's rumors are to be believed, Sony will unveil both the Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact at IFA.
Another thing we expect to see at the convention is a new LG smartwatch. One of LG's earlier attempts at a smartwatch, the LG GD910, was getting ready to hit store shelves five years ago almost to the date.
Counterclockwise distills the good old times for our nostalgic readers and a history lessons for those who only recently became interested in phones. We'll be looking into events in late Augusts throughout the years, a time just before the launch of a new iPhone and IFA, a time of many, many rumors.
The iPhone 4S first brought the 64GB storage option to Apple's smartphone and two generations later rumors expected the new iPhone 5s to bring another storage bump in 2013. The 128GB iPhone 5s never came to be but this year it's coming with the iPhone 6... says another rumor.
Interestingly it suggests Apple will drop the 32GB option leaving only 16GB, 64GB and 128GB. If the jump from 16GB to the next version remains at $100 it could motivate people to splurge the extra cash.
On the other end of the spectrum is the iPhone 4, which launched with 16GB storage as minimum but later Apple added a cheaper 8GB option in 2011. Of course, this was back when Apple kept the old model as a cheaper alternative to the shiny new one.
WebOS will be remembered fondly for the innovations it brought but it was never very successful. Legendary PDA and later smartphone maker Palm was eventually bought by HP but in August 2011 even HP folded.
Inside the Q3 financial reports was the eulogy for WebOS phones and the TouchPad tablet – "The devices have not met internal milestones and financial targets." Short but not sweet.
After a two day mourning period Microsoft tried to poach WebOS developers by offering them free training, tools and devices to bolster the developer base of its own smartphone platform, Windows Phone 7.
WebOS has since been sold to LG where it lives on some of the company's smart TVs, including a 105" 21:9 5K monster.
In last week's Counterclockwise we covered the birth of Xiaomi from the MIUI custom ROM now let's look at the second generation.
The Xiaomi Mi 2 was unveiled in mid-August 2012 and it was the first to sport a Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset with four Krait CPU cores. Back then smartphones either got a quad-core Cortex-A9 or a similar in performance dual-core Krait so this was big news.
The new chipset also brought a new GPU specs of ZTE Nubia Z5 , Adreno 320, but the pricing strategy remained the same – the impressive phone was priced at just RMB 1,499 ($235 / €190 at the time).
In August 2010 Nokia tried to breathe new life into its aging Series 40 feature phone platform with the launch of the Nokia X3-02 Touch and Type. As the name suggests the phone had both a 2.4" QVGA touchscreen and a standard keypad.
The Asha line, which would become the primary touch-enabled feature phone platform for Nokia, didn’t launch until October 2011.
The Nokia C3-01 later joined the Touch and Type lineup and in 2011 the C3-01 Gold Edition with a 1GHz processor was unveiled. A 1GHz CPU came to the X3-02 as well though without the bling.
Microsoft hasn’t completely abandoned feature phones since it acquired Nokia but the storied line of phones is living out its last days, touch was unable to save it.

When HTC debuted the original HTC One at Mobile World Congress in 2013, the company proved that the design of the smartphone was just as important as the specs powering the device. The HTC One deviated from the sea of plastic Android smartphones, including many popular flagship smartphones at the time, like the Samsung Galaxy S4.
HTC took a page out of Apple's handbook and used a unibody aluminum case with curves that felt great in the hand and the smartphone's specifications impressed Android fans and consumers. The HTC One began HTC's return to being a serious player in the smartphone price of Huawei Ascend G610S world. The HTC One M8 improved on its predecessor, is selling extremely well, and we were thoroughly impressed with the brushed-aluminum wrapped smartphone when we had the opportunity to review it.
